BioShock is the Game of the Year
And the predictions were right ! The 2007 Video Game
Awards, hosted by Samuel L. Jackson, featured memorable musical and comedic performances. Four
time Grammy award winners and fresh off receiving five more Grammy nods
earlier this week, Foo Fighters rocked the stage, and Kid Rock delivered
a stirring three song medley, while comics Patton Oswalt, Ralphie May
and Brian Posehn provided nonstop laughs for those in attendance during
their performances.
The 2007 Video Game Awards results are in 2K Games' BioShock, which took home no less than three awards:
- Game of the Year
- Best Xbox 360 Game
- Best Original Score
... while Microsoft's Halo 3 and MTV Games' Rock Band garnered two awards each:
- BEST MULTI-PLAYER GAME: Halo 3
- BEST SOUNDTRACK: Rock Band
- BEST RHYTHM GAME: Rock Band
- MOST ADDICTIVE VIDEO GAME FUELED BY DEW: Halo
