Deus Ex 3 is a Prequel?
Did Eidos spot the slip and move quickly to eradicate evidence to protect a plot secret? Could be, because the rumor in question concerns alterations made to a recent Deus Ex 3 teaser trailer recently unveiled by Eidos Montreal studio !
They discovered, on one of the flash-frames around the 37 second mark,
a hand placing a piece of paper into a ballot box clearly marked "Biopolitic Vote 2027". If you've been following the series, you'd know that Deus Ex was set in the 2050s, with the Invisible War taking place some 20 years later, in 2070s. Word is:
"During the teaser's blink and you'll miss it" rapid-fire image
sequence, the teaser in question definitely shows a hand inserting a
checked card into a ballet box with the phrase "Biopolitic 2027"
stenciled predominantly on the side. Die hard Deus Ex fans will
recognize this date as being significantly earlier than both the
original Deus Ex (which took place in the 2050s) and Deus Ex 2:
Invisible War (which took place 20 years later in the 2070s). More
suspiciously however, the teaser video has apparently been re-edited
since its release by Eidos to remove the indemnifying date. Hmm.
Conspiracy?"
