The controverse about Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe's fatalities seems to come to an end.

Ed Boon, one of the series' creators announced that all of the game's characters will have fatalities:

^{"All of the MK characters and all of the DC villains will have fatalities"}

Also, the brutality concept is introduced. Brutalities are like fatalities, but the opponent isn't actually killed.

^{"The DC heroes who don't kill that often will have brutalities that
will function just like fatalities but don't actually kill the
opponent."}
